Writing

We read so many works of people in the past and present that lacked or lack freedom. They use their pen to liberate themselves, to feel less captive, to pull from their minds full of fear, anger and sadness meaningful expressive pieces of themselves.

I am greatly fortunate to have always had my physical freedom, economic well-being, loved ones supporting me and almost everything I could have desired.

But it is the freedom from myself that on occasion, as it may happen to anyone, I missed. While it is not even comparable to other freedoms, feeling captive of one’s mind, having the same recurring thoughts from which one cannot escape, also requires a strong way of expression to be overcome. And writing has been everything for me.
